Palletizing specific items? The Spider palletizing robot is used to palletize the most diverse goods. For example, a Spider in the furniture industry destacks panels to feed them to the production machines.
The difficulty here is that the panels have to be destacked in an angled way in order to be able to depalletize them one by one. A Spider is also used to palletize packages with furniture. Because these vary a lot in size, an automatic gripper setting is used.

How does it work?
Rolls of carpet are picked with a clamping gripper and the deposit height is adjusted each time so that the carpets are neatly stacked on top of each other. Bobbins are picked inside the core and the stacking pattern is automatically adjusted according to the diameter of the coil. Full layers of round ventilation pipes are picked with a special vacuum gripper. The layers of pipes are automatically strapped on both sides, after which they are palletized. In the tile industry, the frame of the Spider is expanded so that 30 pallets can be stacked at the same time, depending on the size of the tile which is positioned on the infeed conveyor.
Rubber bales are often stacked in a box pallet. Because the Spider is a portal robot with a long vertical z-axis, it can palletize the bales very deep into such a box.
The Spider takes care of both palletizing and destacking the most diverse items.
For example, product carriers are pushed out of a rack by the Spider and transported on a conveyor towards the line which is picking the products from the carriers. Once the carriers are empty, the Spider slides them automatically in the various levels of a second rack.
