The fact that we could offer a total automation including conveyors, destacking robots and stacking robots was a decisive argument for Recor. Hundreds of meters of infeed and outfeed conveyors, long buffer conveyors and transfer trolleys equipped with laser scanners were assembled in a total project.

A Spider picks the correct number of parts of a product carrier and stacks them aligned on an empty carrier. The fact that two bridges can operate in the same portal frame, with a common range of action, was a huge plus.

Once restacked, the parts are buffered until they are needed for the further production process. The whole system is visualized on a PC where all processes are logged. Product carriers are also stacked automatically. A two dimensional Spider was used for this. The installation at Recor is an example of how a total solution is offered with the integration of different Spider robots.
