Ravago

A big advantage of the Spider palletizing robot is that it can palletize in a pallet box.

Because the Spider is a portal robot, it has a vertical Z-axis with which products can be stacked deep into a container. At Ravago, bales of rubber which are packed in film must be palletized in wooden pallet boxes. A special vacuum gripper was designed to pick up the bales. The robustness with which the Spider and all parts are built was an important argument for Ravago.

The dimensions of the portal frame which have been adapted to the available space and the fact that a pallet conveyor for the automatic change of pallets could be integrated played an important role in the choice of Ravago to implement a Spider.
