A vacuum gripper cannot be used when palletizing square buckets  Also a clamping gripper cannot be used. After all, the buckets have to be palletized against each other. The clamps of the gripper would get in the way during deposit of the buckets.

To solve this a very specific gripper which picks up the buckets from the side has been designed. The gripper is also equipped with a device for taking intermediate sheets that are automatically placed between the layers. GC Europe was convinced by the budget-friendly solution and the simplicity with which they can create a new stacking pattern.
