Small jerry cans are often be filled at a high speed. This makes manual stacking on pallets a time-consuming activity. That is why this process can best be automated. Our Spider portal robot performs this task excellently.
To achieve high speeds, full rows of jerry cans are picked up and palletized. The jerry cans are individually fixed in the gripper. This allows fast lateral movements from the picking conveyor to the drop-off position on the pallet.
Unlike an articulated arm robot, the Spider has a vertical Z-axis that allows it to easily stack the rows of jerry cans in high pallet boxes. The robot arm is never in the way of the raised edges of the pallet box during the introduction of the jerry cans.
